Abstract
A loop antenna can radiate a circularly polarized (CP) wave, when perturbation segments are added to the loop [1]-[3]. The radiation characteristics of the loop antenna have been investigated for the first-[1],[2] and higher-order [3] operation modes. It has been found that the loop antenna radiates a CP axial beam for the first mode, and CP conical beams for the higher modes.
