Abstract

We report on a comparison of methods (SQUID, ac) commonly employed to derive irreversibility lines (IL) and critical current densities of melt processed YBCO materials. As expected from thermal activation theory, the results for Jc as well as for the position of the IL in the H-T-diagram are clearly dependent on the characteristic time scale of the measuring technique.
