Abstract

Using the moment method, we propose a square loop (reference) antenna whose corners are truncated for circularly polarized (CP) radiation. The loop element is used to construct a triple-loop antenna with a single feed. It is found that the antenna shows three minima in the frequency response of the axial ratio. On the basis of the radiation characteristics, we design a plate-loop antenna using the FD-TD method. It is revealed that the antenna has a wider CP-wave bandwidth than that of the reference antenna by a factor of two.
