Abstract

The My Number program is a national identification number in Japan that will be introduced next year. Various personal information is correlated to the personal number of this program. Hence, its protection is paramount. However, whereas the aim of current security measures is to prevent leaks directly, we must consider the possibility of non-secret information being used to indirectly leak secret information by inference. We studied a hypergraph-basedmodel that can help to prevent inference of information in the My Number program. Names, addresses and other information are correlated with the personal number, and inference paths are detected by using a mapping from information stored in the program to the hyper graph. The hyper graph model and Dijkstra's algorithm are used to prevent the possibility of information leaks by inference.
