Abstract
A limiting feature of plasma spray synthesis is the need for powders to melt and react with each other during their passage through the plasma flame. In case of using mixtures of ordinary-sized powders, it is quite impossible to obtain coatings with new compositions. Agglomeration techniques were used to prepare fine powders of BaCO//3 and TiO//2. BaTiO//3 (Barium Titanate) coatings were produced by plasma spraying the agglomerated powders. The formation of BaTiO//3 was established by X-ray diffraction.
