Blue-emitting AlN-Eu2+ phosphors for field emission displays

Abstract

Here we report on a novel blue-emitting AlNiEu2+ powder phosphor which was synthesized by the solid state reaction. This phosphor emits a strong blue color at an accelerating voltage of 3 kV, and exhibits high brightness, high color purity, low saturation, long lifetime, enabling it to use in field emission displays.
