Abstract

Bulk mechanical alloying by the repeated forging system was applied to solid synthesis of solid solution in the immiscible material system. Co20:Cu80 system was particularly employed to investigate the refining and alloying processes into solid solution with increasing the number of cyclic loading. Both XRD and VMS are utilized to describe the relationship between Co-substitution into Cu-lattice and reduction of Co-magnetization. Through the annealing of this nano-structured solid solution, cobalt finely precipitates in the copper matrix, resulting in recovery of Co-magnetization.
