Crystal structure of (Hg0.7Tl0.3)2Ba2(Y 0.8Ca0.2)Cu2O8-δ synthesized at high pressure

Abstract

We prepared (Hg0.7Tl0.3)2Ba2(Y 0.8Ca0.2)Cu2O8-δ with a Tc of 65 K at 5 GPa and 1050 °C and analyzed its structure by neutron powder diffraction. Rietveld analysis showed highly disordered atomic arrangements on double (Hg,Tl)O layers, the absence of oxygen vacancies, and an underdoped state of the CuO2 sheet.
