Abstract

Highly syndiotactic poly(propylene-co-1-butene), prepared by a Cs symmetrical metallocene catalyst, was found to be isomorphous copolymer. In this study, syndiotactic-polypropyrene(sPP) / syndiotactic-poly(l-butene) (sPB) blend was prepared in o-dichlorobenzene solution, and effect of sPP/sPB blend ratio on crystallization behavior, crystalline structure, and mechanical properties were investigated by WAXD, DSC, FTIR, and tensile test. The results indicated isomorphous features of sPP/sPB blend with 10-25 wt% of sPB.
