Determination of the Fermi surface of MgB2 by the de Haas-van Alphen effect

An overview is given on data supporting the overall topology of the predicted electronic structure of MgB2 and the calculations of the electron-phonon coupling constants for the different orbits. The data give direct evidence that the electron-phonon interaction is large on both σ sheets and much smaller on both π sheets.
