Abstract

This paper describes a method for developing customized services in Intelligent Networks. These services are carried out with two kinds of service logic programs (SLPs). Since two kinds of SLPs cooperate to provide telecommunication services, the consistency between SLPs must be assured. A development method is proposed to assure the consistency. In this method, interfaces between SLPs are specified in the first stage, and each SLP is developed based on the interfaces in the second stage. The specifications for each SLP are explained based on a model which represents abstract behavior of telecommunication services. Using this model, the interface between SLPs can be defined clearly. The interface is the key to achieving this development method. The development method is explained with an example.
