Abstract
Universal Driver Model (UDM) which simulates human general driving behavior including cognition, judgment and maneuvering processing was developed, in order to predict the effect of Advanced Driver Assist System on decrease of traffic accident quantitatively by the means of the virtual traffic simulator composed by the multiple vehicles driven by UDM's. This paper introduces the basic design and architecture of UDM. The representative traffic simulation results are shown as the example of evaluating the effects of Cooperative ADAS on the decrease of traffic accidents.
