Abstract

This paper describes a novel estimation method of an instantaneous output torque and also describes a direct torque control method using the torque estimation method. The proposed method can estimate the torque in each stator tooth by using measured tooth flux density. By using the estimated each tooth torque, each tooth torque control is achieved. This paper confirms effectiveness of the proposed estimation method and the proposed control method by the coupling simulation with FEA.
