Abstract

The material was austenitized at 800 degree C for 1h and then either reheated 1h at 300-700 degree C (designated as QT), or intercritically heated at 650-725 degree C and reheated at 500-650 degree C (designated as QLT). The specimens were subjected to Charpy impact tests and tensile tests at minus 196 degree C. X-ray diffraction was used to determine the amount of retained austenite.
