Abstract

A study was done on the effects of spondylolytic defect on the stress distributions in intervertebral discs lower lumbar spine. The mechanical causes of isthmic spondylolisthesis and disc generation was discussed. The analysis showed that isthmic defect cause local damage in the posterior part of the intervertebral disc.
