Abstract
We synthesized c-axis-oriented Nd-Ba-Cu-O bulk superconductors to investigate the effect of densification on the trapped fields. We found that the employment of the pre-sintering process in pure oxygen prior to melt-processing was effective in increasing the density of the grown crystal and also in depressing the deformation and liquid loss that enhanced misorientation angles between grains and the inhomogeneity of superconducting properties. This led to the enhancement of the trapped field.
