Abstract

Al foam having a substrate with a harmonic structure that exhibits high strength and ductile deformation by adding Cu was fabricated by sintering and dissolution process. In addition, Al2Cu IMC was generated in-situ during sintering which is expected to increase the strength of the surrounding shell.
