Abstract

We develop polarization-scrambling-free slope-assisted Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry using a polarization-maintaining fiber. This scheme offers not only cost efficiency and high stability but also high sensitivity, which is 1.4 times higher than the conventional value.
