N2 - In recent years the quality of ultrasonic image has been enhanced, but the azimuthal resolution of B-mode image is still considerably poorer than the axial resolution. In this paper, we propose a mothod for reconstructing the high resolution ultrasonic tomogram, especially azimuthal resolution. This method consists of irradiation from many directions by electronic compound scanning and reconstruction using one dimensional deconvolution filtering and summation processing. We have successfully demonstrated its utility in proving the resolution by simulation analysis.
