Abstract

This paper describes an optical method to observe waveform distortion due to the finite amplitude ultrasound propagation. Distribution of magnitude and phase of each harmonic component in the plane normal to ultrasound beam axis is reconstructed from the diffraction spectrum through CT algorithm.
