Peak effect in single crystal MgB2 superconductor for H ∥ c-axis

Abstract

The vortex-matter phase diagram for the H∥c-axis using a MgB2 single crystal superconductor was presented. It was found that a peak in the screening current existed in a narrow temperature (or field) regime. Three different features of the onset of the diamagnetic local moment resembled the picture of the melting transition with two critical points.
