Power utilization efficiency improvement method for DTN using a message ferry

Abstract

DTN (Delay and Disruption Tolerant Network) is expected to be more effective for such areas that telecommunication infrastructure are heavily damaged by a huge earthquake and tsunami, because it can be applied to worse circumstances that communication delays and disruptions occur. This paper proposes the method that improves power utilization efficiency in DTN communication for mobile nodes in shelters by reducing communication between nodes adjusting to message ferry movement.
