Abstract

This paper proposes channel control sequences and a reliable channel control signal transmission method for wireless multimedia communications. The proposed methods allow multiple traffic bursts to be assign between a base station and a personal handy phone with low hardware and software increase compared to single burst assignment. They improve the layer-2 frame error rate by about 25% for two control channels, FACCH/SACCH (Fast/Slow Associated Control CHannel).
