Abstract

In the advanced Intelligent Network (advanced IN), service management is as essential as the telecommunication services. This paper describes a new model to define service management specifications for advanced IN services such as UPT services. The model is composed of requirement specifications, design knowledge, and detailed specifications. As an example of how the model works, an application for UPT service is described in detail. We also show an application of the model for a Service Creation Environment (SCE). With the SCE, many types of Service Management Logic Programs (MLPs) can be generated automatically and consistently.
