Abstract

We consider an important class of digital control systems whose plants are endowed with delays, and we show that such systems may be described by discontinuous functional differential equations. Next, we establish Lyapunov stability results for this class of systems. To accomplish this, we make use of some of our earlier work concerning the stability of discontinuous dynamical systems determined by functional differential equations.
