Abstract
ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 WG6 launched a study group on the future direction of the SQuaRE series, whose purpose is to discuss and establish a future plan of the SQuaRE series. This paper describes the proposed future plan, including provision of guidelines to use the series, adaptation of it to new technologies, and governing the terms & definitions and evolution of quality measures to keep the series simple and consistent.
