Abstract

In recent years, linear permanent magnet vernier motors (LPMVMs) have attracted attention for applications with long moving ranges. In this paper, in order to improve the thrust of the LPMVM, the thrust characteristics of the winding configuration were evaluated using the finite element method (FEM). As a result, the cogging could be reduced without lowering the thrust by using the toroidal winding.
