SUBOPTIMAL CONTROL OF NONINTEGER-ORDER INTEGRATOR SYSTEMS.

Abstract

In this paper, the authors have discussed how to find an optimum control variable for the noninteger-order integrator system. To solve the problems formulated the authors have developed the following two approximation methods: (1) approximate the transfer function of the given system in terms of a rational function or, equivalently, represent the given system by an equivalent lumped-constant system; (2) derive directly the approximate optimal control variable on the basis of impulse responses and desired output waves over a finite time range. These two methods are useful not only for considering the noninteger-order integrator system but also for optimizing a wide variety of control systems.
