Abstract
Temperature responsive slide ring gels were synthesized by forming crosslinks among alkylated cyclodextrins (CDs) on polyrotaxanes. These hydrogels show reversible changes of elastic modulus, volume and transparency depending on temperature. These changes are caused by association and dissociation among CDs due to hydrophobic interaction of alkyl chains substituted on CDs.
