Abstract

A triple band microwave rectifier covering the frequency bands of 0.5-1.0, 1.5-2.0 and 2.3-3.6 GHz is presented. While multi-diode rectifiers can operate over wide frequency band, conventional single-diode rectifiers are relatively narrow band due to the distributed transmission lines used. The proposed rectifier uses a single diode and yet can cover wide frequency bands by using CRLH TL. The presented technique has potential of reducing the production cost of future wireless power transmission systems using large number of rectifiers in rectenna arrays.
