USB memory size broadband monopole antenna for UWB

Abstract

The USB memory size UWB broadband antenna using the folded monopole antenna, which is made of the U-shape metal plate without the wide ground plane, has been successfully developed. This antenna is small in order to be installed in the compact wireless USB-unit using UWB technique and covers the wide band width from 3.1 to 10.61 GHz. This paper introduces its novel antenna configuration and describes the characteristics of the hovel folded monopole antenna.
