N2 - A novel unbalanced feed system to achieve quasi-anti-phase excitation without a balun circuit was proposed. A single coaxial line was used to fed the antenna. The radiation characteristics of two-wire spiral antenna were investigated and compared with the radiation characteristics of coventional spiral antenna with a balanced feed system. The frequency bandwidth for a 3-dB axial ratio criterion was found to be 18% with a gain of 8 dB approximately.
