Characteristics of underwater near-field acoustic radiation force acting on a planar object

抄録

A phenomenon called near-field acoustic levitation (NFAL) has been reported where planar objects of several kilograms in weight are levitated in the air a few hundred micrometers away from a radiation surface. The authors experimentally studied the feasibility of underwater NFAL and demonstrated that planar objects can also be levitated in liquid. Furthermore, unexpected characteristics such as that attraction, in addition to the repulsive acoustic radiation force, acts on the planar object under certain conditions, were found.
