As robots start to interface with humans, it is necessary to develop electrical and mechanical safety systems for them. The electrical method is available in many kinds of environments and situations using sensors and control algorithms. The mechanical method is realized using a gas spring. Gas springs relieve the impact force and can easily recover its original position.
