N2 - The purpose of this paper is to design an array antenna in which the main beam is tilted from the direction normal to the antenna plane. The array antenna is composed of DSS elements, and is realised using a foam-filled triplate configuration. Such an array antenna has potential for use in DBS television reception, since it can be easily installed on the wall of one's house. After showing the performance of a single DSS element, we construct a 4×4 array antenna composed of the DSS's with a parallel feed network. The radiation characteristics of the array are examined and the formation of several tilted beams is demonstrated.
