N2 - An eccentric spiral antenna printed on a dielectric substrate has been analyzed. A main beam is formed in a direction of 27° off-normal to the antenna plane with an axial ratio of 0.8 dB. The bandwidth where the gain reduction remains within 3 dB is found to be 29%, over which the axial ratio is less than 3 dB. The radiation efficiency is evaluated to be about 70% in the vicinity of the design center frequency.
