Extensive doppler method for single component doppler signal

Conventional pulsed Doppler technique has a limitation in the measurable range of Doppler shifted frequency. Extensive Doppler method makes it possible to overcome this limitation by means of compression or expansion of Doppler shifted frequency band. When the Doppler shifted frequency is compressed, the velocity range corresponding to Nyquist frequency band is higher than that of conventional technique. The principle and an example of the compression of Doppler shifted frequency band are shown here. The frequency of a single component Doppler signal can be compressed ideally in this technique without aliasing.
