N2 - Recently, visible blight super luminosity light emitting diodes (LEDs) are commercially available and these LEDs are considered not only as light sources but also as optical transmitters. We have already investigated and clarified the potential of a super luminosity LED as a transmitter and a receiver, where 100 kbit/s digital transmission experiments were demonstrated. In this paper, we further extend super luminosity LED transceivers for higher speed digital transmission and for broadband analog transmission. Before transmission experiments, the linearity of sending and receiving properties and the temperature properties are clarified. Then, we demonstrate 6 MHz TV analog transmission experiments and error-free 30 Mbit/s digital transmission experiments. We also discuss the temperature properties of a super luminosity LED transceiver from the systematic viewpoint.
