Mesoporosity development of TiO2 nanoparticles depending of applied synthetic method

Because of the use of triblock copolymer, pluronic F127 as a structure directing agent, in the preparation of TiO2 nanoparticles, great properties could be obtained. The challenge is to use a variety of synthetic method, following the same recipe, and develop textural properties of the end product, namely nanoporous TiO2 nanoparticles. Thus, in order to find out more about textural features of TiO2 nanoparticles, the reaction mixture have been treated in three different ways as: magnetic stirring, ultrasonics, and liquid plasma. The resulted white titania powders were characterized and their textural properties have been compared. It has been concluded that the same used titania source/F127 weight ratio led to TiO2 nanoparticles with different textural characteristics.
