Simulation of magnetization curves of oxide superconductors using critical state model

Magnetization of non-ideal type II superconductors can be analyzed by using the critical state model in which critical current density is considered to be dependent on magnetic field. Magnetization measurements were carried out on YBaCuO prepared by the Melt-Powder-Melt-Growth process using a vibrating sample magnetometer at 77K. We simulated magnetization curve of oxide superconductors using the critical state model and a good agreement was obtained between experimental results and calculated curves.
