N2 - Block copolymers consisting of a thermosensitive segment, poly(ethyl glycidyl ether), with a terminal redox-active phenothiazine and a hydrophilic segment of PEO were prepared by anionic opening-ring polymerization. The phase transition behavior of an aqueous solution of the block copolymer and its correlation with the redox response of PT group were investigated. The apparent diffusion coefficient of the polymer reveals a maximum at around 15°C, where the thermosensitive segment changes from a coil to a globule. It was shown by the tube-inverted method that a reversible sol-gel transition occurs in the concentration range higher than 35wt%.
